Help please from one of the online experts -

I have some Swedish miniature sheets from the 80's which appear to be MNH.
However there is no shine to the gum on the backs. Were they issued with
matt gum ?

Thanks in anticipation of your help.

They could -- or could not -- be with matt (dull) gum. Please post either
scan(s) or some more details (year of issuance, descriptions and/or Scott
numbers) in order to answer properly.

Regards
Mette

Hello David,

The bicentenary of Swedish Circus, issued October 1987, is with matt gum. I
checked this through my own collection of Cz. Slania's Engravings. They were
issued for Stamp Day 1987, and sold for 8 SKR, while the face value of the
set is only 2,55 SKR. The set comes in booklet panes of 3 se-tenant. The
single stamps of the pane are quite common, and in case of used copies
(without cancellation) you can distinguish them from MNH copies by the
quality of the paper, that appears somewhat more "creasy" (like wet
newspaper that has been dried) than mint copies.

I don't know about the vintage vehicles (which I don't have), but they are
likely to be also with matt gum. Maybe one of the Swedish participants (I
myself am Danish) of this group can answer that.

HTH.
Regards
Mette
