Default 1 more question, on storage

Hello again!

I've been reading (uh oh) and I want to make sure I keep my new-old
book safe. It mentions acid free paper/materials. Is polyester a safe
material to wrap it in? (i have a pouch that it fits in just perfect,
and since I don't want it left out on a shelf to get abused, it seemed
best to put it in something and put it away somewhere safe)

Thanks again,

LeeAnna

_What_ mentions acid free paper?

Your Rousseau is, I think, half leather. The leather should
be allowed to breathe after being treated with mild leather
conditioner, if it is dry. I myself have never put
protectors on leather books.

As to book protectors, see

Polyester (Mylar is a brand maker of polyester) or Polyvinyl
Acetate may be used to protect book jackets. pH neutral
materials are what you want.

I believe what the acid free sites meant is pH neutral, my apologies.
Thansk for the info.
