I have a 2003 Sassone catalogue. First off, it's probably
important to define the currency, which is a bit medieval.

1 scudo = 12 tari = 240 grani (= €0.2487, no idea whether that's a
floating rate current as of publication date, or whether it's been
pegged to the Euro).

1967 Langue Flags
http://cjoint.com/data/eBtiMUYkEj.htm

You have 7 of the 9 values, missing the lowest (2g) and highest
(1/2s). The other 7 are Sassone numbers 11-17. All are valued at the
catalogue minimum, in this case 25 Eurocents, total value of all 9
stamps is 75 Eurocents. Total print run was 166,000 sets.

Christmas 1969
http://cjoint.com/data/eBtkrUtD6d.htm

The individual stamps here are Sassone numbers 47-49. The souvenir
sheet is given Sassone number 2, value 50 Eurocents. It's stated that
the sheet is also available without watermark, considered rare.

Hmmm - those numbers don't line up with Sassone 2003. The first
set you list above is given Sassone numbers 455-458, for example. Of
the four numbers on the end, only the last one makes sense to me - it's
the number of stamps in each set. The numbers before it could be dealer
prices in Euros, as they are somewhat similar to those listed in my
Sassone. Perhaps mint, used, FDC. (Sassone shows that first set with
prices of €10 mint, €10 used, €12.50 FDC.)

Hello Ryan,
Yes, they would be "Said" numbers
a collector and dealer.

I would prefer to use all Sassone numbers if you care to assist me.

I repeat here part of my RCSD post of 02 June 2002....
==================================================

For the benefit of those interested in SMOM and its
stamps and coins, I offer the following information.

The SMOM continues to issue stamps and coins.

They are currently denominated in Tari, and Scudi.
(Grani are no longer practical to use)

The current (slightly tweaked for simplicity by me)
exchange rate is:

1 Euro = 16 scudi = 192 Tari = 3840 Grani

Thus:

1 Scudo = 6.25 Euro Cents =
1 Taro = 0.52 Euro Cents

Those are some pretty divergent numbers - 1 Scudo might be worth 6
Eurocents or it might be 25 Eurocents ...
And if you believe this site, with 5 Scudi = 4 grams of 90% pure
gold, that works out to 1 Scudo = roughly US $20. I'm guessing there
are more than a couple of different Scudi out there.

http://www.economy-point.org/s/scudo-coin.html

Whatever - I'll go with what Sassone printed in their catalogue.

Ryan: You cannot set an exchange rate today, based on he precious
metal content of a coin made over a hundred years ago or more.

For example, I would LOVE to buy US $20 Gold coins for $20 today.
However the price of gold is about 25 times higher now than then.

Please check Sassone for a note. I have been told that they had one
that gave the equivalent pegged to the Italian Lira.
(now converted to Euros of course)
