Florida Bibliophile Society Guest Speakers
Booklovers from the Florida area may want to mark two dates on their calendar: On Sunday, March 20, 2005, Paul T. Ruxin will be the Guest Speaker at the Florida Bibliophile Society meeting in Largo, Florida. Mr. Ruxin has one of the best Samuel Johnson and James Boswell Collections still in private hands. "Soft-Hearted Sam" will be the title of his talk. No stranger to the speaker's podium, Paul Ruxin's resume of bibliophilic speaking engagements include the Rowfant Club, the Caxton Club, the Chicago Literary Club, the Fortnightly of Chicago, the Aldus Society, the Zamorano Club, the Roxburghe Club, the Junior League of Cleveland, and the Friends of the Amherst Library. Additonal information is available on our new website, which I am still constructing: http://www.floridabibliophilesociety.org I did mention two dates didn't I? On Sunday, April 20, 2005, Nicholas A. Basbanes will be the Guest Speaker at the Florida Bibliophile Society meeting in Tampa, Florida. Additional information will be posted on the FBS website after the March 20 meeting. Quite a coup eh?
