It's a medal for the Holy Year - not a coin - thus its absence from
K-M. I think it looks like a quality piece, likely to be genuine.

Bob,

Maybe a dumb question, but is there a listing in Krause under "Papal
States" or "Holy See"?

take care,
Scott

The Italian government took Rome in 1870, and the Papal states ceased to exist,
although the Popes didn't exactly see it that way.

Mussalini and Pope Pius XI signed a treaty creating the Vatican city state in
1922.

Patterns of Popes Leo XIII, Pius X and Benedict XV exist and are very rare.
Contemporary medals are more common.

No, but look under "Vatican City".
