Default Wurlitzer 1050 clone; "Sonata" Help Please

I have a Sonata Box. I'm stuck on 2
problems.......
1) The numbers buttons will not hold in when
pressed down, you need to manually hold
a number button down until the selection
is found and processed.
2) The tone arm, after being aimed above the
beginning of a newly selected record, does
not "Drift" or slowly lower itself on to it, it
is dropped down on the record, causing the
entire arm to bounce, and start playing in
the middle of the record. HELP!

Also, would like to find a cartridge for this
box. Who has them? Thanks for any attempt
to assist me!

The 1050 Sonata is essentially the same as the Wurlitzer 1050, just
poorer quality parts used throughout. Problems with the play meter
wheels popping off, amp sub-boards not all upgraded to latest (3800)
style, cabinet finish, and the credit unit.

However, all the 1050 parts fit (I have NOS pilasters etc.) and the Wurl
1050 service manual is the same (Have these in factory originals as well).

Your problem #1 sounds like the latch solenoid is not working, it should
lock in place when free play is enabled (permanent or coined). See if
the coil has power, if so, then check the TRIAC board for an open resistor.

Problem #2 may be a simple adjustment - covered in the manual - or it
might need a drop of oil on the pivots if they are gummed up.
