Tech: Rockola CD-8 magazine error

I have a Rock-ola bubbler that works fine, but every once in a while I'll go
over to find it scrolling "Out of Order..." on the display. Checking the error
log it's reporting "M01 - Mechanism Error" on the magazine assembly. Today I
finally caught it in the act of failing, and when it did the magazine did not
move a bit, it sat there for about 20 seconds after unloading the last disk and
then started scrolling the error.

So, I'm assuming this isn't a problem with the optos. Does anyone have a likely
cause that would make the magazine motor just stop like this? I can say, power
cycling the box will usually free up things and it will continue to the next
disk without a problem. I'm just noticing it's starting to fail more often.

I'm very appreciative of any technical advice or assistance the group can offer.
