Default Leeward Islands question - KGVI £1.

Hello,

A question regarding the "missing pearl" variety on the £1 KGVI Key Type of
the Leeward Islands -

SG.114ba " Position R5/1" - I assume that this means there was only
one of this variety in each sheet.

Can anyone please tell me how many sheets were issued and how many stamps
were in each sheet - I can't see this info in the Gibbons catalogue.

Thanks in anticipation,

David L.

Default Leeward Islands question - KGVI £1.

The £1 was printed in sheets of 60 (12x5). There were 6
printings. The last (postwar) printing was perf.13; all
earlier printings were perf. 14x13.75.

I have no idea if that flaw is on all printings ot not.
The total issue of the £1 was 63,420 for the pre-war and
wartime printings, and 31,020 for the postwar printing.

(Information from Robson Lowe, vol. VI.)
