Acme pen issue resolved

Some may remember my posting a couple of months ago about defective non
compatible threads of an Acme Pen Quote roller ball cum f/p. Many chimed in
with similar QC and a.s.s. issues. Well I am pleased to report that after
many emails back and forth to Acme, much frustration and non comprehension,
postings on this and other pen boards, a letter to the Hi governor and her
consumer dept, finally the CEO himself got back to me. This was a piffling
matter which could have been resolved right from the start. I suppose it was
not even worth all the effort time and wasted energy expended. I am pleased
that Mr Olabuenaga, Acme boss got involved and we came to an amicable
conclusion. .

We agreed that I would get a f/p thread compatible Laurinda Spear Pen Quote
pen at cost price from one of the real nice dealers Gorge Cooley of CT who
goes by the ebay handle of Greenman. George is a thorough gent and highly
recommended. In fact he was so sad at the handling of the matter that he was
prepared to do himself at a loss.

I want to thank my penfriend Adam for being the proxy buyer and getting me
good deals. I did not want to bother him with the problematic pen and went
directly to the Hi HQ which may have been the mistake.

However, as said, all's well end's well.

They do have darn nice designs on them there pens. Nifty if it can be a r/b
and f/p.
