2010 Lincoln Cents
On a recent trip to Rogers Ark. I found 2010 P Cents at one of the banks
there. I bought $10.00 worth and they gave me one of the older boxes they store them in. Bringing them home on the Plane was more fun--my wife's carry on was lighter than mine so I stashed them way at the bottom and the TSA guy had to search through the whole bag. She was not pleased! She also had an old cow bell in there that also raised a flag. All in all it was a great coin trip. I picked up some great war nicks MS65 & 66 with full steps at a coin shop there. |

I was going to say, back in the 50s (when I was a single-digiter) I remember receiving coins from Jud's list plus IHCs, buffalo nickels, a single flying eagle cent in about 1957/8 or so (this 5/6 y/o thought it was a fake back then), and even the occasional worn slick Barber. If I'd only known then what I know now. Jerry |

Very frankly, I can't begin on that one - from a certain standpoint, I would be better off if I had simpy kept every U.S. 90% silver coin that passed through my hands. Yes, I usually traded that junk U.S. silver for some better numismatic coins that brought (and still bring) great pride of ownership. But with common U.S. silver coin at 12 times face or more... It boggles the mind how little one paper dollar buys today. oly |

There is no reason to save them to the same degree as the 2009 cents, since they're going to be made all year in the same design. oly |

In April, at a retail souvenir shop catty-corner from the British Museum, I bought two small plaster reproductions of two scenes from the Elgin Marbles/ Parthenon frieze. Plasters, say 10 inches by 2 and 1/4 inches and perhaps 3/8 inch thick. The young lady shop-walker wrapped them up for me in bubble wrap very nicely and securely. I stowed them in a special suitcase that I bought while in London, soley for the purpose of transporting only souvenirs and books. Of all the things that our fine TSA persons had to unwrap and damage, one of the plasters was their choice. What the hell did they think it was? Plastique explosives??? Jeez, what poltroons. oly |

The only coins available from the bank have been the Presidential dollars, and in whatever quantity you want. I have however gotten 3 wheat cents and a silver war nickel in change in the last week.
