And a safe and joyous Holiday Season & prosperous New Year to you and
yours too.

PS- so thats what snow looks like huh?G. Mid 50's today in
Albuquerque but in the sun it was a lot hotter. My face actually feels
like it got a slight sun burn. Went shopping with the car windows open
it was so warm.

There was a nice blanket of snow on the ground when I woke up today. I don't
think I'm going to dig around in it for stamps, but I sure hope there is
something philatelic under our tree in a few days. I hope the same for you
all, thanks for making this a wonderful NG.

Merry Christmas everyone and may this coming new year bless your spiritual
and philatelic journeys.

peace,
Frank - Ottawa

Monday was the first day of winter. We celebrated in Michigan with 45 and
sunny and melted what little snow we had. But with one to three inches of
snow on the way, we're expecting to have a white Christmas! (Then it can
all melt again and I'll be happy!)

I got my philatelic treasure yesterday, when I finally located a flat pane
of 20--not the double-sided---of the Holiday Musicmakers! (Simple tastes,
for once!). How lucky could I get? I needed two, they had three in stock,
and one was damaged. Oh sure, I could have sent away for it, but this was
more fun. The successful end to a long search--what more could one want?

May your homes be filled with the music of the season (and if you've got the
same twisted taste I do, I hope there's lots of Bob Rivers and other similar
comedic renditions interspersed with the more traditional fare) while you
peruse your collections. After warming up with the first-ever performance
of the Bipartisan Legislative Christmas Carol Caucus last week, my boss and
I are about to attend our local senior citizens center's Christmas party,
where we have been roped into singing the "Five Golden Rings" portion of the
"Twelve Days of Christmas." Naturally, we have chosen the Miss Piggy
version, as done by John Denver and the Muppets!

Let the celebrating begin!

Mike

Thank you Mette:

We have this year record highs and the gently falling
snow is now quickly falling rain.

Merry Christmas to all.
