Egypt~ the tricky blighters.
Most countries have tricky issues,
(South Africa and the wildebeeste comes to mind) I wonder how many kids or newbies pass over these three egyptian issues thinking they have "duplicates"? http://cjoint.com/data/hefXgOXOl4.htm |

very oblique Gazza.
I was a creature of the 70's so would only relate to droopitash. If they are all 5 mills, what was the changing script in the RH mandrel? "Gazza" wrote in message ... At the start the left + right sides had the denomination specified. Later the denomination was moved to the bottom corners and the word for POST (Postes in French and Barid in Arabic) took their place. The first stamps used the longer (formal) name for the country, while the later, more simplified stamp, just had the name EGYPT in French and Arabic (Misr) at the top. I will not digress on the different styles of writing Arabic here. The later stamps use a more simplified script, in keeping with the simpler design. Finally it should be noted that two different kings are portrayed on the stamps. Blair .. |
