Higher spot silver bringing in floods of bullion
We've experienced a dramatic upturn in silver purchases since early last week
mostly 999 bars and rounds. We've also begun to notice a drop in the spread. Most dealers are now purchasing silver BELOW spot silver price, including Englehard and JM 100s and even Prospectors. Usually these forms of silver bring from 20c to 40c OVER spot. This usually happens whenever rapid increases in spot prices outpace the market's ability to absorb the excess. I recall selling one oz Prospects as low as 60c under spot during a run-up a few years ago. I'm not sure what all this means except that if your dealer wants to buy your silver for lower than normal prices, he's at the mercy of the same market forces that affects all. 90% silver bags are having the same struggle as dealer buys are falling in realtion to the "melt" value of the silver contained in them. Obviously, if you're of a mind to invest in silver at this level, you should be able to purchase bullion at or around spot. Dondi3 DONDI enterprises. BUY, SELL, TRADE.
