Default Japan-need ID

I recently got these stamps in a mixture. I presume they are Japanese
and are NOT postage stamps. Can anyone identify them for me ? Thanks.

Hi
They are both revenue stamps. If you are interested, I can check the new
Japanese Revenue Stamp catalog and give you catalog numbers andlisted
values.

Hi
The stamp on the left is listed as a "Trade Tax" issued in 1948-49.
Given value is 30 yen. I'm not sure if the stamps were used on documents or
used on items.
The one on the right is a general revenue used on documents, etc. The
face value is 30 yen, issued in 1957 and the given value is 40 yen.
The catalog sometimes does not list the date but places the issue date
in the text. Art

Thanks, I'll take you up on that. I'm sure the stamps are of little
value, but I'd like to know when they were issued and what kind of tax
they were used to collect.

Thanks again. John O'Brien
