Paying for postage by cell phone
"Victor Manta" wrote:
Starting by April 1, the Danes will be able to pay the postage by the service Mobilporto. By sending the word "PORTO" as a text messages to the number 1900 they will receive a code that they will write on the envelope in place of the usual stamp. The idea was taken from the Deutsche Post, the one that uses it since August 2008. This is not necessarily good news for philatelists (or do we want collecting codes?). Source: Linn's Stamp News, April 4, 2011 Victor Manta, PWO, AIJP I won't use that "service". I have a huge pile of old mint stamps from the 70ties and up which I intend to use before I buy new stamps. And even I run out of my old worthless (for collectors) stamps I won't use these codes. I can buy "old" mint stamps at 70-80 % of face value. -- Mvh Toke Læs om Ejnar Olsen og Søllestedmærkerne samt om trusselsbrevet til kong Fr. 8! http://www.norbyhus.dk/ |
