Default Found in nickel rolls

Last week I went through a $100 box of nickels from my bank and filled
a couple of holes in my folder. In that box I found a coin from
Singapore and a coin from Isreal. What are the odds of that??

In a random sampling of 2,000 nickels already wrapped, I'd say the odds of
getting at least one coin that isn't a U.S. nickel are pretty good. As for
Singapore and Israeli coins, that would be a stretch.

Up here in NY State, Canadian coins are found in rolled coins all the time.
The strangest coin I'd ever found in a roll (at the time, anyway) was a 2-cent
Euro (or is it 2 Euro cents, or €0.02, or...) in a roll of cents back in
2002.

About the same as me getting the german coin I got several years ago
from the USPO stamp vending machine in place of a golden $. Funny how
that ends up isn't it?

Lucky for you! The Bahamian monetary system is based on the US dollar, so it is
worth face value.

Hi Troy, here in S. Texas the odds are about the same as finding a war nickel,
1 in 2000+or- a few hundred. Even this far south, Canadian nickels outnumber
Pesos 2 to1.No Singapore or Isreal but Colombia 1, Bermuda 2, Nicagragura 1,
England 4, Chile1, Guatamala 1, and Finland 1.
Regards,
Dan
