Default Question

Hello.

Can someone please direct me to an official U.S. gov't URL that
explains the law on color copying currency, specifically the new $20
bills?

Thanks!!

Never ceases to amaze me that people haven't figured out how to use Google.

Type in "us treasury rules on currency reproduction" and the top site is:

http://www.moneyfactory.com/document.cfm/18/117

It never ceases to amaze me that people run their mouths, acting as if
they're SO much smarter than everyone, before they read the entire
post, to wit, the last few words: "specifically the new $20
bills"

The site with the cite was for "Authority: 18 UNITED STATES CODE; 504:
Treasury Directive Number 15-56 FR 48539 (September 15,1993) 411.1
Color illustrations authorized. "

Nothing new since Sept. 1993? I seems to remember something happening
around the beginning of Sept. a couple a years later that caused new
legislation to be enacted. Hmmmm....what was that?

I read the entire post. And I easily found the law that governs the
reproduction of US currency. Just because the law doesn't specifically
mention the new $20 doesn't mean it doesn't apply.

If there's a later law that modifies this one, perhaps with a little
research on Google it could be found. But if the "something" you vaguely
remember didn't actually happen, good luck finding it.
