Default Valuable error or junk?

I believe Jason is the one to answer, but most ok, ok, ALL of you
folks know more than I do about coins.
Went through 30 rolls of Wash. found some very strange beat up
coins.Squred of edges and most very similar appearance. Got STUCK in
something? All these weird ones were in the plastic shrink wrap. So much
for quality control.
They are of no particular date either. 1990, 1985,1974, SC and Virg.
one that is scrunched up date maybe 198?.
SC has a copper section showing on the obverse, the others have a tint
of copper color.
One of them really stuck out. I have been thinking about why this was
so different. Someone made the suggestion to lok at Jason's site.
WahLah, I believe I have come to the conclusion this is a 198? quarter
but only the copper part. That's what was messing me up. It's much
thinner than all the rest and a coppery color. Barely make out the
design. It is also beat around the edges. It also has what I would
describe as burnt marks on both sides, but not mirror image.
Sorry, right now I can not get any pics, cam is being cleaned. Anyone
recognize this type of damage? Any pics I can look at from anyone here?
At first I was going to return them to the bank, now.......?
Oh, yes, also a 1964 that looks like it has been spray painted silver.
Don't think it has been tho.
No problem if no one can give me some answers, I've been told in the
past, my descriptions make peoples heads hurt!!!
:-)))
