from 1700 to 1860 at which date the making of pewter shifted from individual
craftsmen to mass production. All types of pieces are described and fully
illustrated including tea and coffee pots, pitchers, mugs, porringers,
plates, goblets, ladles and spoons, lamps, and more. Matters of fakes and
reproductions and their identifications are also fully described. The book
has over 159 photographs and drawings are provided of over 368 makers marks
with description of the Pewterers. The book measures 7 ½ inches x 10 ½
inches. Both the book and dust jacket are in excellent condition. There are
no loose or missing pages, no tears, stains, or water marks. This is a great
reference for anyone collecting American Pewter.
