Default Laughable Sac $ Auctions

I can't believe the gall of these sellers. If brass bucks WERE worth this
kind of money I could retire.

Looks like those sellers are a group of complete morons, doesn't it? The
last one states "This is an Auction for the Discontinued Gold Dollar pieces
worth 500 dollars a piece." Note, however, that he is willing to take a
loss and sacrifice them for only $200 apiece. What an idiot!

Offer the seller some at the low price of only $100 each and see what
response you get. Billy

Some even list the material as "gold" - Is that not misleading to the less
informed or is it EBay's belief of "buyer beware" and the statement "a fool and
his money are soon parted"?

But one of them offers free shipping. When's the last time you saw THAT on
eBay?

Long, long ago in a newbie coin collecting state of mind I bought the
2000 SAC official first day coin cover from the US Mint at $19.95. Only
75.000 were made. Some times the US Mint preys on newbie suckers so why
would it shock anyone to see an eBay seller fishing for a sucker.

Sliding a little off the beaten path here. I got my first Sac at Wally World
in February 2000. I still have it. No, I didn't put it in a 2x2 or stick it
someplace safe, unless my pocket is someplace safe. I've been carrying it
around as a pocket piece ever since, trying to wear it down. It's down to
about VF-30.

What I'm finding amazing is how "logarithmically" the speed of downgrading goes
from MS downwards. MS to AU was just a few months. AU to EF roughly a year.
EF to VF two years and holding. Eventually, I hope to have the first PO-1 Sac
ever. POP 1! LOL!

What is funny to see is the amount of Sacs you can find on E-bay where
someone had tried to make them shiny.
In case some of you don't know, they made Sacs so that the tone comes right
off very easily if you try to jazz them up.

As a seller of MINT 2000 D rolls, I too, appreciate the "sacrifice" of the
loose ones at ONLY $25.00 EACH.
I hope the fools who actually look at those auctions do the math (un-likely)
and realize an opening bid of $24.99 for a WHOLE ROLL is a "bargain".

HNY, all
