Default Mont Blanc 75th Anniv. Meisterstuck LE - Value?

Hello,
I have this pen 'Mont Blanc 75th Anniv. Meisterstuck LE' classique
size, it is the sterling rollerball with the rose gold and diamond in
the cap.

I would like to sell it but I'm getting conflicting info on it's
resale value. One new pen dealer on the east coast told me that I
should expect over $1,000.00 on eBay and one used pen dealer who
wanted to buyit offered me $200.00 saying that the classique size made
it undesireable.

I don't have any track record on eBay so I'm not sure what to do.

Could anyone here help me get an idea of what this pen is now worth?
You can see it he

The answer isn't really as difficult as it sounds, but it does depend
upon the pen's condition, original box, service guide, outer sleeve,
etc. If the pen is complete and in pristine condition, I'd say the
$1,000 is closer to the market value than $200. I have the 144 75th
anniversary silver solitaire (same model as yours except mine is a
classique size fountain pen). I have seen pens identical to mine sell
for as much as $1200 on ebay. I'm not sure how much I'm helping you,
but $200 seems very low unless the pen isn't in very good condition.

Good luck!

Hello, Thanks for your input. I don't have the box or anything other
than the pen. It is is fine condition, wear from 5 years of use, but no
dings or deep scratches.

Would you say that having only the pen would impact it so much. I would
be glad to get $500.00 for it.

A bit OT: Does anyone have experience selling on eBay, I have none.
Would being a newcomer to eBay drasticlly affect the bidding. I guess I
should find an eBay group and ask this. I was just thinking that in the
context of fine pens there may be some unique things involved when
dealing with an eBay auction.

Thank you in advance for your help.

You might also go on Ebay and look for some of the other 75th pens and
see what they are selling for both the active auctions and completed as
well. That should give you something of a clue.
