Series 2001 $50's and Series 2003 $10's
It seems that these bills are mostly sent to Foreign Exchange
bureaus/Banks outside of the USA. I hardly see these in CU here in the USA, with the exception of a few that did make it into Self Service Checkouts in supermarkets. Anyone else notice this? Nick |

What source are you referring to when you say they are being sent outside of the country? Once the old tens wear out (and they're generally well worn out here on the East Coast), there will be increased demand and I imagine the Fed will ship 2003's out here too. Eric |

Eric Eric, When I was a cashier until not too long ago, I noticed that many (if not) all of the 2001 $50's were in the possession of tourists from overseas, and these, almost invariably were CU. Some of them even kept these in envelopes given to them by the banks that tendered them during the currency exchange. Recently, some of the 2003 $10's were also from tourists, even those I noticed that these are usually in the DJ..A block. I remember probably seeing some other districts in CU from them, but the DJ..A really stood out. Nick |

Has anyone seen a 1999 $5 K* ? Wasn't that the one they sold from the BEP separately as a "special"? I bought one of those special $5 Star Notes, but I'm not sure it was a 1999 K or not, I'll look and email you tomorrow... -Tim Coin Saver |
