Well, a nice day, sun shining, and Smiley dropped off 2 for me today, but!
I need some help from the hockey and baseball guru's out there. I wanted to know what teams these guys played for and I can't find any information about them! can anyone help me out. NHL Volmer, Doug, 19 Eliot St, Framingham, MA 01702, 2 signed IC's, I sent. MLB Briggs, Harold, 1217 W. Wabash, Tucson, AZ 85705, 2 signed IC's, I sent. both have scratchy handwriting, Mr. Briggs looks to be a very old gentleman. Anyone with some help would be appreciated, thanks, Joe |

There is no Harold Briggs in the best bb database I have seen:
http://www.baseball-reference.com Doug Volmar (with an 'A') 1964-1975 played for: Michigan State University US Olympics Detroit Red Wings-NHL Los Angeles Kings-NHL and several minor league teams http://www.hockeydb.com |

Anyone with some help would be appreciated, thanks, Joe Volmar played hockey at Michigan State in the early to mid 60s. He was drafted by Detroit and was part of their farm system. He played for the Columbus (OH) Checkers in the mid to late 60s. He scored at then a record 70 goals one season. I saw him play a few times and he had a booming slap shot and was a decent skater. He was a difficult autograph for awhile but now I've seen many success. His autograph is very shakey and to that I don't know why. For more on Doug check out www.hockeydb.com Jim |
