O/T Inexpensive art supplies in LA?

I need to donate a bunch of supplies in an Adopt-a-Family for Christmas

type of thing and I don't have a lot of money. The kids are various
ages, so I was thinking everything from crayons to pencils and maybe
even chalk. And large quanities of paper as well. I'd like to give each

kid their own little art carrying kit but that's WAY too expensive for
me. There are 6 kids. So I thought maybe there's a place where the
supplies are sold in bulk and therefore less expensive.

Anyone know where I could get cheap art supplies in Los Angeles?

I looked for a teachers board because I thought they would know since
most teachers have to pay for their own supplies (I think), but I can't

find an active one.

So I thought some of you might now...

I've done pretty well at the dollar-type stores. They have lots of
stuff and the price is reasonable.
