Default I had the distinct pleasure........

I had the pleasure of meeting and dining with fellow RCCer, Dave Hinz
today. A couple weeks ago, Dave bought a Mercury Dime from me, thru
ebaY, and he decided this would be a good excuse for the two of us to
finally meet. After all, we're both in the Milwaukee area, for cripes
sake!

So, after a couple schedule conflicts, we finally met at a restaurant
for lunch. I just got back, in fact.

Dave seems like a damn good guy! Yep, he's outspoken and energetic, just
like you might think from his RCC posts. First impressions lead me to
believe he's a good egg - well, of course, you might say, he's a coin
collector and RCCer!

We talked about a number of you guys out there in cyberspace (Ira, Wes,
Larry, etc. - don't worry, nothing bad at all!!!), and about coins, of
course. I think we're gonna need to get together more often, and
actually look at each other's coins and discuss! We're both working on
the Dansco 7070 Type Set. So, maybe I can see his set and drool at what
I eventually want to have but probably never will. And, who knows? Maybe
we can help each other fill some holes! I might have a coin or two that
could help him - maybe.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share a little of my experience finally
meeting a fellow RCCer! That was quite the fun lunch! I hope that Dave
and I can get together again soon!

Maybe, just maybe, I'll have to attend a coin show and hopefully meet
some more RCCers! But, how many RCCers would actually come to Milwaukee
for a coin show??? Hmmm, I wonder what the odds are! ;-)

Well, lemme see, I attended my first Milwaukee show back in 1980 when they
were three times a year at MECCA, and haven't missed a single one since.
Odds are pretty good I'll be there in April.

Good message. Matter of fact, as a lurker and one that is not an active
collector of coins, I have had dealings with Dave and still ongoing.

I have found him to be honest and a no-nonsense guy.

I really GOTTA try to make that one! That's a biggie, and I'm betting
there actually WILL be some RCCers there!

Naw, Babula isn't Irish. That's just a localism around here - kinda
particular to Sout(sic) Milwaukee or Cudahy. I said that for Dave's
benefit, if he reads this thread. Actually, I guess it probably shoulda
read: 'fer cripes sakes!'

Excellent news, Eric! I wish that I could have joined the two of you! Next
time you see Dave, please give him a warm greeting for me.

Actually, I look forward to meeting you guys for the ANA in August.
There should
be a lot of RCC'ers there. Meet for a beer or something. You do have
beer there, right?

Hm. Beer? Milwaukee? I dunno Eric, I've heard rumors, do you know
anything about this "beer in Milwaukee" thing of which he speaks?
