In MS-65 they sell for over $10,000 and are nearly im[possible to locate. This date usually is very scuffy even in MS-64 and I haven't seen one for sale that I wanted tio buy for resale. This example was graded aboout 17 years ago when grading was much tougher than it is now. Although I am not intimating that this coin would now grade MS-65, what I am saying is that it's one of the finest for this grade that I've ever seen. Would fit nicely into an otherwise MS-65 set." Still attempting to bamboozle buyers with your patter about MS65 quality MS64 coins, Stein? If you aren't "intimating" that this coin would regrade as a 65, why mention it at all? |

If I had a valuable coin in an old PCGS holder that I felt was udner graded I would re-submit it before trying to sell it. Considering the price difference between a MS-64 and a MS-65 1927-S Peace Dollar it would be definitely be worth the $$. It is a nice coin. And seeing it makes me want to add a higher grade Peace Dollar to my collection. Though a 1922 or 1923 graded MS-64 (possibly MS-65) is more within my budget. |

BTW I received my Ira coin today in the post, the only lousy thing about it, it makes me want to buy more - like an addiction! '09-S Indians, SL T1's, '14-D? |

Dave, This is not such a bad addition as long as you can keep food on the table! I have a 1914D 1c PCGS graded, coming in from PCGS Friday or Saturday. Graded MS-62 BN BN by PCGS, the coin is essentially flawless with a rich, deep brown color and and underlying bluish tone over the brown color that is amazing. I've seen nice brown matte proof Lincolns like this, but never a MS coin. Call me or write if you wish to discuss. Ira |

John, I don't play the upgrade game, notwithstanding the fact that although the '27-S is high end for the marked grade, I doubt it's quite nice enough to make MS-65. If I buy a raw coin, naturally I'll submit to PCGS for grading, but sending a coin in ten times in hope of winning the lottery is not how I earn a living. I have built a rep. selling real nice coins for the grade and that suits me fine. Let others enrich the grading companies. Ira |

Well Stein, if you have such a great "rep.", why the need to come here to bloviate and blather about your auctions??? One would think someone with such a tremendous following and great "rep." would have a built-in customer base. |
