Default A new curiosity

A slightly curious item, these also exist so i'm told for Matabeleland. Were
the BSAC thinking of issuing stamps for these territories.

I thought Matabeleland belonged to the native,
before Mr. Rhodes decided to visit with the new invention
of the time, the highly secret machine gun, and created havoc
against those with spears and hide shields.

Very cool card. South Africa and environs are notorious for creating
many postal cards. Same cards, different scenery.

I've always liked the emblem for BSAC. Very cool...

Hi Rodney,

Yep, it did belong to the Matabele, but BSAC had tricked the Matabele King
into basically
surrendering his territory to them.

Hi Alan,
Yes, that's how I understood it.
It was signed by the illiterate King, during an envoy from the
murderous cut-throat Rhodes, after his desire to secure land
for his cross-continent rail link and his gold interests.
