You beat me to it -- the Pelikan GO was my recommendation too. Bought one

favorites. It's not

actually use one to write
everyday, it's a great buy (and very easy to fill!)

Sally,

I had Sam at Pendemonium stub mine off, and now I love my Go even
more. I don't like to write with a big ball on the nib and prefer
very fine and italic nibs. Sam's prices are so very reasonable that I
have a lot of my steel pens done. You know, the ones that you bought
that you never seem to use because the nib is ho-hum? I have a bunch
more saved up to send her.

I also *love* my Senator Regent with its softer steel nib. I have a
few, and they were about $20 on ebay.

No connection to Sam other than a very happy customer for years,

Nic,

I would also recommend the Pelikan M200 or if you feel the need for a
gold nib the M250 or M400. The piston fillers fit well for what you
want. In terms of other pens, the Bexley's would be an option as would
some of the Conklin's. I would prefer the Bexley's of those two.
Finally, if money were no option than you could always check out some
of the limited edition pens from Delta.

For an in depth review of the M200 please check out
