Bill Steiner at http://www.stampalbums.com/ has US pages for 2000-2003
free. The rest you have to pay for at $20 p.a. for unlimited downloads,
or you can buy a CD. I'm sure he uses Scott ordering, as I sometimes
have great difficulty matching stamps with SG. My other beefs are that
he doesn't include as many minor varieties as I'd like, and uses
American spellings, but it's not too hard to make extra pages like his.

thanks, nice looking site, I'll go have a look, although that auction/seller
you mention offers his things at fairly expensive prices, compared to what
the next person in this thread suggested.

thanks!

hi, yeah, nothing is free is it... well, still, $20 a year subscription with
possibity to download all and never subscribe agian is still a good deal I
think. I guess my little beef there is that he has no pictures of any
stamps, I was not aware about minor varieties, so thanks for the info!

by the way, I got a whole bunch of stamps to classify on pages etc, from all
over the world, and I still think printing pages is best way to do it, but
I'm not sure about good paper to use.. regular thin white paper doesn't seem
right. nor do I want to invest into 1000 pages at 1$ per page. any ideas?
lastly I've never hinged stamps to albums, I always had stockbooks, so I'm
not crazy bout ruining the gum with hinges, but the only other alternative
would be stockpages over the printed ones, but thats mighty expensive.

thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Use heavy stock archival quality for your pages. Suggest hinging used
stamps and using stamp mounts for mint.

You want pictures? Take a look at AlbumGen for your pages and EzStamp,
an inventory program with stamp scans for many countries. You can put
the EzStamp scans on the AlbumGen pages, if you like. Do a Google
search. Not free, but pretty reasonable for the amount of data provided.
But Steiner's album pages are an absolute bargain!

Hey, if you want the world, just go to www.stampalbums.com. The latest
US supplement page is a free download at the address specified. But you
have a pay to get the rest of the US and the rest of the world. Still a
big bargain.

Per pages, it is THE BEST bargain out there. If one has catalogs
already, one is truly "SET" after getting the pages.

Not free to be sure, but check out the Scott pages available at
http://www.amosadvantage.com/scotton...rt%5Fno=&Tab=s

I have not used these myself, so I can't say how good/bad they are. Just be
sure to use heavy acid-free paper, and if you are printing with an inkjet
printer, use mounts to protect your stamps from the inked images when you
mount the stamps over the pictures/other printed information. Inkjet ink can
leach quite readily into paper (stamps) placed directly in contact with it
for long periods of time.

Sorry to be late in responding - I've been busy with (non-philatelic)
houseguests.
