Mixing Diamine Orange with SwishMix Apricot Orange
Don't. They don't play well together. While waiting for my Falcon and cartridge to soak clean, I decided to brighten up my pen with SwishMix Apricot Orange by topping off the cartridge with Diamine Orange. I aspirated the ink mixture back into the syringe a few times to mix it well. The pen wrote almost an entire line before stopping completely. After flushing the pen and cartridge and letting them air-dry awhile, I mixed the Apricot Orange with Conway Stewart Orange, 3:2. Much better. I want to try a ratio of 4:1 next time, but at least my pen works again. -- ~~Bluesea~~ Spam is great in musubi, but not in email. Please take out the trash before sending a direct reply. |

You know, I've had this happen with mixes before and just put some soap in the cartridge and it cleared up. But not every time. You might want to try some Noodler's yellow as a mixer. Thing is, you could probably just use inkjet yellow as long as you weren't going heavy on it.
