Default ID Needed Poland

Can anyone help identify this stamp. I suspect it is some sort of local
of the World War I era. Thanks.

Hi,

It is Polish occupied Central Lithuania, 1920-1921. Yvert #23 Central
Lithuania, at the end of "Lithuania".
Also exists with 11.5 perf.
BTW, 25 f. means 25 fennigy.

Hello John:

Try "Central Lithuania"

(Litwa is Polish for Lithuania so Srodkowa must be Central))

Historically a part of Lithuania, Central Lithuania was under Russian
rule until 1915, when it was occupied by the Germans. In December 1918
it became a part of Lithuanian Republic. In October 1920, the area was
occupied by Polish forces, who established an autonomous state, which
issued its own stamps during 1920-22. In 1922, it was annexed by
Poland, but in 1939 it was occupied by Soviet forces and returned to
Lithuania.

Your stamp is from the first issue (1920) 25 fenigow green
(#2 in my old SG catalogue)

Four other stamps issued by Central Lithuanian state:

I hope this is helpful.
