eBay buyer question
***If replying directly to my email address, please remove the "00" from the
address. Thanks!*** Hi everyone - your help is appreciated with this situation. I'm a very infrequent seller - mostly a buyer. Recently I put up a couple of cards with a BIN. A guy went ahead & bought both of them with the BIN and then immediatly paid with PayPal. In checking his feedback (good rating), I notice this is his standard operating procedure. Great! I email him, leave him positive feedback, and wait for his response. I need him to email me his address. Couple of days go by, and no response from the buyer. Over the next several days, I zip him off several more emails, asking him to please verify his address. I do a little research, go to my PayPal account and find that he has an unverified address. So here's my question. I don't feel real comfortable with sending his cards to an unverified address. Would any of you do that, and call it good? Or should I email some of his past sellers and ask them what address they sent to? Or is there a way to get a verified address from eBay? Again, I sell very, very infrequently, so I'm not sure how to proceed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Geo |

Request his contact info (Search / Members / Contact Info) to get a phone #
& give him a call. I wouldn't send unless he confirms his address. You can also compare eBays address with Paypal's & if they match you may feel safe enough sending. Strange that he doesn't respond to emails since he responded right away with bid & payment. Scott out. 1) I have an unverified mail address on Paypal. In fact, I have a
few. 2) He's paid through PayPal, and PayPal has given you an address to send it to. 3) Perhaps he's on vacation or something for a few days. Waiting a couple more days won't hurt anything. 4) He should at least reply to the e-mail, but you should send the item anyway in a few days. Being "Verified", and having a Confirmed Shipping address are 2 different
things. It is much more important that he have a Confirmed Shipping address, then he be verified. If you ship to an unconfirmed shipping address and there is any problem, you lose the cards and the money. Even if you have delivery confirmation, if you ship to an unconfirmed shipping address you lose. PayPal is very strict on this.....accepting any PayPal payment with an Unconfirmed shipping address puts the seller at risk of losing cards on money. |

thanks very much for your advice. I did that eBay search you mentioned and
got his phone number - I'll try that tomorrow. The search didn't give me an address to match with PayPal's though. Hopefully the guy is just on vacation, thus explaining why he hasn't responded to any of my emails. "Scott" wrote in message ...
