Default Is this a bad sign?

I just got an email from a seller telling me he doesn't accept Paypal becuase
he "doesn't have a credit card." Now to me that mean's any of two things.
Either his credit is so bad they won't give him a card, or he's not old enough
to get one. I banking on the latter. What would be the appropriate steps?

Did you even bet yet and did the auction description say he accepts cc? You
are just assuming things. Stay away if you feel uncomfortable.

Other possibilities may be that the seller has had bad experiences with
paypal or he doesn't eagerly spread his financial information around.

Slash makes a good point when he says "stay away if you feel uncomfortable".
I agree.

But, you forgot a third option here. I have many friends who do not have a
credit card. It's not because their credit is bad....it's because they've
never had the desire to get one.

I keep a credit card for emergencies only (which do pop up every now and
then), but I prefer to use a debit card when making online transactions. If
it wasn't for the wonder of the debit card, I wouldn't use PayPal either.
