Default have you had success in dealing wtih Topps customer service?

I recently bought a box of '04 Topps Heritage and was lucky enough to pull a
/55 Aubrey Huff auto (red ink). Unfortunately, the upper right-hand corner
of the card was pretty mangled. The box and the pack were in perfect
condtion, so the problem was with the collating machine. I called Topps and
they said to send it in and they'd replace it with a card of comparable
value since no more Huff cards were in the inventory.

So my question is, has a similar situation happened to you, and was Topps
fair and quick in dealing with the situation. If replying to my email
address, please remove the "00" from the address.

Thanks in advance.

I have found that 98 times out of 100, when they have to send something of
comparable value, they are more then fair....at least as to BV. The cards they
send might be of a player I have never heard of, or a sport I don't collect,
but they always send more in BV then what I lost.

This goes for all of my transactions with all of the card companies, not just
Topps.

I agree. The one time this happened to me was back in 1997. I had two
97 Bowman Chrome Refractors of Frank Thomas, BV at the time was $60 each
and both were horribly off centered (90/10). They replaced them by
giving me 3 (yes, 3) Bowman's Best Atomic Refractors of Griffey which
were at the time BV of $100 each. So, definetly more than fair. (now a
days, the Thomas' are $10 each and the Griffey's are $15 each, so still
a good deal).
