"In The Mail" Friday 9/19/03

Well this was a pretty strange day. Not only fighting the rain, (but we did
get it easy compared to many) the mail itself was a mixture of all kinds of
things.

Received one failure from a golfer I don't recognize. He kept my cards and
sent a preprint 4x6 color photo that I can't read the signature. And just to
make it even funnier, the stamp of course was not cancelled so I have no idea
from where it came.

The next was a note from a widow of a former pro-football player. I had
written her deceased husband a while ago, but he passed on in 1988. A bit late
I might say and there goes that method of research.

One nice success was from Good Morning America's Tony Perkins. I had sent him
a photo of my son and he that we took last month in New York. He graciously
