Default $1m collection scatters across highway

The coin dealer suffered minor injuries and was in pain, but did not
want to leave the scene of the crash because he was more concerned about
his coins.

It takes a lot of common-date circulated Mercury dimes to get to $1
million ('tho not as many as it used to). That probably makes your
vehicle rather top-heavy. Happy to hear that the injuries were not too
serious.

It is interesting that this appeared in a British newspaper; I've long
thought/speculated that parts of Florida (like Ocala) were colonies of
the UK - based upon where the money seemed to be coming from.

The Daily Mail seems to have a gold and silver bug amongst its
writers:

You'll find mostly good-old-boys in Ocala and some wealthy horse
people. If you want to hear a British accent in Florida, go to
Osceola County near Kissimmee.

The story first appeared in the Daytona Beach News-Journal, was picked
up by other Florida papers, and then by the Daily Mail.

They may have a problem getting the coins back from the police since a
briefcase containing marijuana was also found at the scene.
