Scott 2011 US Pocket Catalog
Having recently gotten back to stamps, I just purchased the above mentioned
Scott catalog. Very handy and well laid out. My question is how closely do the prices listed reflect actual market values? Thanks! |

Thanks! It depends. The minimum value, which I assume is still 20 cents, is meaningless in that almost all stamps in this category will sell for much less than 20 cents even if bought singly. Values above the minimum usually sell for less than the listed value, but the key word there is "usually." Depending on condition and demand, stamps may sell at higher than catalog value. Of course there's always a difference between what a dealer will pay you for a stamp and what you will pay a dealer for the same stamp. Bill |
