Rowe CD100c
Hi all,
I have a Rowe CD100c Eprom 3.9 That sometimes while playing a cd will stop dead the display goes through a power up cycle and the cd will start playing again. There are no errors showing and it is very annoying. Any suggestions Many thanks Mark |

I've had similar problems with a CD100F, (Venus). Fluorescents flickering
due to bad tubes or starters causing the CCC to reset, very sensitive electronics. Check for flickering lights or cold solder joints in the power supply, especially the connector or header pins. Hope this helps. Cheers, Steve wrote in message oups.com... This can be caused by a loss of comuniction from the player to the
computer. Which player is in the machine? Clean all connectors involved and make sure they are on tight. |

Thanks for replies i've checked and cleaned all the cables. checked for
dry joints and tried machine with all fluros unplugged, problem still there the player is a known good CDM4i. I normally work with NSM's. These Rowes are a bit new to me. Speaking to a friend of mine he has heard that the 8v line off power supply should show at least 9v can anybody confirm this. Many thanks Mark |

From what you describe, you have a failing power supply (or possibly
bad power cord?). If you are losing communication from the CCC to the player, you would be logging an 05-63 error, and you don't have that, so that rules that out |

YES, Fixed it from another website i confirmed the 8v line to the
player should be at least 9v with the CDM4i. The power supply has two lines but only one connecter, i wired the two lines together by splicing in a new wire and hey presto she has run perfectly for 8 hours now. Thanks for all your replies If anybody needs to know about NSM jukes they can email me on Mark |

Interesing about the 9 volts. I had a Rock-ola Bubbler with a Cdm PRO
player that would lose sound after awhile. Disc would spin and act normal, just no sound. Problem was 9 volt was high, about 10.5. Fix was to put a Zener on the output of the regulator in the computer's power supply. Later editions had this done at the factory. Charlie |
