Default Some sellers have big dreams...

Can't decide if this guy is a crook or just stupidly optimistic:

It's a dutch auction for 10 Goodacre Presentation Dollars at $2,000
each. I sent the seller an email saying that these typically sell for
around $500 instead of his "$3000 and up" - and he said that the ones in
the original ICG slabs are the "rare" ones.

This despite the fact that I have watched 47 sales of ICG slabbed
presentation dollars since the beginning of the year and they have
averaged "only" $602.95. (The maximum was $1,250 - and that one was in
an intercept shield holder and signed by Goodacre)

The good news is that he tried the same auction back in March and got no
nibbles - so hopefully, he won't dupe any suckers this time around, either.

Sorry... Just had to vent...

Well, for some it's value for others it is rarity:

One of 476 proofs worldwide? True, if it were in box.. however, seller
even claims it may have come out of a 3 or 4 coin proof set, of which
there were another 2000 made, making this a 1 in 2500 coin. Ahh..
details. Nice coin though.
