Stuck Sheets of stamps
I purchased a book of what should have been a book of 1959 stamps (full
Sheets). But after comming home and looking at the stamps every sheet was stuck together. Any suggestions on how to save my sheets? Thanks, John |

If they are not stuck too bad I have had some sucess in using a credit
card type device sliding in between the sheets to break them loose from each other. I find a seam where they are not stuck and just slide it along breaking the 'seal'. When I did it the gum and stamps mostly came out 90% - 95% OK. If they are really badly stuck then soaking is the only way that I know of. Least invasive but not always successful is to put them into the freezer
Alternately, a box contraption using humidity Stamps are placed on a raised platform in an enclosed space which contains controlled moisture (like damp sponges). A commercially available device (too small for full sheets) that does this is called Stamp Lift. Worst: soak them -- Bill Lehr JOBI Philatelic Services specializing in US postal stationery APS, NSDA, SDI, IPDA, UPSS, PSS 312 Lower Coleville RD Bellefonte, PA 16823-8726 814-355-8871 http://jobi.bizhosting.com "John Salmon" wrote in message ...
