AUTOGRAPHS

Hi,

I haven't posted in probably a year. I keep meaning to get back into the art of
Collecting autographs and for some reason keep putting it off. One autograph
I'd like to obtain via venue is Britney Spears. I have an address of where she
is scheduled to be. However, does she sign via venues? Or is it a secreterial
signature? I have a few autographs I purchased from a fellow autograph
Collector. Yes they are authentic. Though no pictures were sent to me, I would
NEVER buy from this person if I suspected what he was sending was a forgery.
Anyhow, I would like to possibly get a personalized signed autograph of Ms.
Spears. I was thinking I'd send a CD cover for her to sign. *though I would
have to obtain another copy for her to do so*

Again, I have the date and the venue address. Though not sure which theatre she
will be in exactly as I have not yet seen information posted. I wish I was
there for those night(s) instead of the few weeks prior. In fact, I just might
be able to hand it to some stagehand or something instead of mailing. (Since
I'd be there anyway PROBABLY) I don't know. But whatever I do, I just hope I
actually go about sending a request LOL (I know me lol)

Also, I have noticed www.stararchive.com is a paysite now. I am not asking for
any assistance in obtaining addresses, but do you know of any legit sites that
would push me in the right direction with my autograph collecting? I would hate
to look at a website and find all RTS addresses.

I received Ms. Spear's autograph via the venue in my town I believe three years
ago. It matches in-persons, so I believe it's authentic.

Well, many (not implying all or a majority, just many) believe her
sigs through venue are secretarial and signed by her personal
assistant. She has even stated in a show I watched, VH1 Diary or
whatever, that Felicia is a huge help especially with autograph
requests she receives in the mail. She didn't come right out and say
that Felicia signs them, so take that as you will. I also saw, many
years ago, where she was signing a bunch of items for mail requests on
one of the tabloid TV shows at a venue. Many also say she will sign a
stack of TTM requests if a camera is around.

For venue info, you can try www.pollstar.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "I have the date and venue
address. Though not sure which theatre whe will be in exactly". Maybe
these two sites will help you.

I too have heard the secretarial rumors and considering the amount of venue
successes I've seen, I would be suspicious. That said, I have seen authentic
autographs (or at least, what I believe are authentic autographs) from venue
sites so its your best bet. Her stops are regular so give it go: what is the
worst that can happen?

As for other free sites, what are your interests? There are some great niche
sites out there. A personal favorite of mine is reelclassics.com, Elizabeth
keeps a great address list with: information if celeb charges and information
if the celeb does not except fanmail. She checks with all the actors she posts
so I find her pretty trustworthy. These are mostly older actors though, from
Classic Hollywood.

And as for requests, as long as they are kept to a reasonable number and are
not a long laundry list, I think you'll find people willing to help you.

Britney Spears is scheduled to appear at a hotel which has a few different
theatres in it. I am pretty sure it will be the one I think its in. In Atlantic
City, I know some hotels have more than one theatre where an artist could
perform. Then there is the Boardwalk Hall which I think is the biggest of the
venues in Atlantic City? But not sure. Either way, I have been to this place
alot so I could pretty much tell you about all of the theatres. Ok well the
ones I actually been in LOL But I have seen quite a few shows. I haven't been
to some of the hotels lately, so I suppose they changed things around. Either
way I can't complain.

Okay, now I understand. Good luck to you! Just keep an eye out as she
has been cancelling some dates and while seeing if I could find
something on Atlantic City with her, I came across news she hurt her
knee during a music video shoot, it may push back her tour.

Yes, I have heard that too. I live in Queens NY and this happened about 20
minutes away from where I am. Honestly had no idea she was to shoot a video in
Queens until I heard. I just hope she will be alright. Reading on the NY Post's
website, it seems her knee was bad back in March? I have to reread this
article.
