Yep, as others have said, your killfile is your friend. It has taken me a
while to set up the desired filtering, but most of the vulgarity is now
nuked immediately in the process of pulling down a new batch of threads.

CC) have made an effort to attract younger people and have actively
promoted rec.collecting.coins as a valuable resource.

I just logged on to RCC (24 hours from last log on) and had 83 good
posts and 143 filtered in this time period. Have not fully checked
these 83 new posts but I can see there are a couple more going into
the killfile. So far I've got 66 authors and 8 threads under the gun
and it's still growing. Up until this recent assault I had no need for
filtering as it was easy to skip over those post I had no interest in.
Having Forte Agent makes killfile tasks a breeze. Four or five clicks
and the offending subject/author is vaporized.

Similar story here. Never had a need for it, now I have 15 kill
filters set up. My last retrieve (been two or three of days) had 330
good posts and about 469 filtered. If it wasn't so sad, sending all
these posts to trash heaven might be fun.
