Happy St. Eligius Day!

December 1st is the feast day of St. Eligius (of King Dagobert fame) the patron
saint of numismatists

Well, Happy Birthday Saint Eloi!!! I had one hell of a good big breakfast this AM. I wasn't going to drink tonight, but perhaps I'll rethink that. I have a number of bronze and silvered copies of the octogonal St. Eligius medal that was made up about 1975 or so.

Here is the medal I am thinking of. Some site says 1966, but that seems a bit early to me, probably by ten years or so:
