adopted after using the German Mark for many years. Is Montenegro using DM
denominated currency?


No, Montenegro and Kosovo are using ordinary euro banknotes and coins
shipped in from other eurozone countries (I think mostly Austria),
though I did hear some time ago that there were coin shortages.

I know they are still tied to Serbia in a federation,


which isn't likely to see out next year, and Kosovo is of course
actually part of Serbia...

though the country recently changed it's name from the oxymoronic
"Yugoslavia" to the more appropriate Serbia and Montenegro.
