Default _Christian Science and Philosophy_, Henry W. Steiger (1948)

This is either a rare book, an obscure book, or both. I only see one
listing on bookfinder and it was described as an "as new print to
order" copy for $92.00. The copy I have is an acceptable hardcover,
with a tattered dj with a $3.75 price tag.

Any one have more info's on this one? (Perhaps M. Klimon, though
I gathered he specializes in the Catholic branch.) TIA.

I don't know this book, but given the publisher (Philosophical Library) and
the late date (1948) wrt Mary Baker Eddy's life (d. 1910) and the formation
of Christian Science, I tend to doubt that this is a very valuable book.
For someone putting together a Christian Science completist collection, this
might be something he would want and it is surprising that no copies turn up
online.

There is, e.g., a copy at the Mary Baker Eddy Library:

I actually have a couple of Christian Science items in my inventory at
present: a collection of centennial appreciation essays and Robert Peel's
well-regarded 3-vol. biography of MBE (vol. 1 signed by Peel).

Many thanks. I doubt it was valuable myself, but it's suprising
to find out that Christian Science was much older than I thought: "A
system of religious teaching, founded in 1866 by Mary Baker Eddy and
based on the Scritures, the most notable application of which is the
practice of spiritual healing." [_Webster's New Universal Unabridged
Dictionary_ (1996].
