This guy Ed Kranepool that runs this auction used to play with the Mets. He
now has his own auction house or something, but it looks like a bunch of old
ball players have gotten together to sell some of thier stuff. This page is of
Thurman Munson memorabilia and his wife is connected to the company or
something. Anyway, it looks like some pretty personal items - last game worn
jersey, last mitt, etc. Makes you wonder why they are selling all this stuff,
ya know? Has the money finally run out after 20+ years? Kinda sad.

Or sometimes, your house has TOO MUCH stuff and it's becoming clutter.
When you get on in years, why hold on to everything? But they are
getting rid of some nice items. My kids didn't want their trophies
either after they graduated from high school

If they are selling out of necessity though, that is sad... but looks
like they'll be rolling in it soon after seeing those prices!

nah. you got to get the money when you can while you can...fans of munson are
getting older and either have some bucks saved up or about to fade away
themselves...heck, i'm 30, i don't remember him...and it's better to rid
yourself of the stuff now then in 20 years when it may not even be valuable
anymore.
