Default Question Regarding Recent Canceled A-H Auctions?

I posted this as a reply in another thread, so I apologize in advance if
they answered, and I just missed it. I'm just wondering how many times a
seller can cancel auctions without eBay saying anything.

Isn't there a limit on the amount of times you can cancel auctions. A
bidder couldn't continuously bid and retract if he wanted could they?

I mean, say as an extreme example, I was bidding on an average of 100
auctions a month. Now what if I refused to buy ACG coins, and a dozen
sellers had none listed until after I bid on other non-ACG auctions they had
going. If my about me page states I refuse to do business with sellers of
ACG coins, could I retract the bids on those auctions based on my about me
page stipulation?

I'm certainly no Ebay expert, but I don't think they have any set limits on how
many times a seller can cancel an auction. Remember, most of Ebay's rules are
enacted because it affects their bottom line in some way. They are raking in
the listing fees on every cancelled auction, so they are making money either
way. They HAVE recently enacted the "reserve fee avoidance" rule where you
cannot cancel an auction if you are unhappy of the current bid amount (hence
avoiding using the reserve listing fees). But, since AH is cancelling these
auctions well before the ending date, Ebay will see "no evidence" that this is
taking place.

One thing that *might* work is if you can convince Ebay that you believe AH is
doing off Ebay sales. Almost all of his auctions he has cancelled have
contained bids. Maybe a little note to Ebay stating you think this seller is
doing off-Ebay transactions with the bidders on his cancelled auctions may
cause him a little grief (or at least a couple conversations with his platinum
seller rep).
