Default 220 Trip Solenoid

I would like to hear from 220, 222 owners. My issue is I made a huge
mistake of degreasing the Mechanism of my 220 without removing the trip
solenoid, I just bagged it up and taped it real good and it
inadvertently got wet. It first buzzed a small amount, now it is
getting very hot to the touch after 10 minutes of the unit being
plugged in. I do not know if this is normal or not, I do know the
solenoid is completly dry now. If you owners could infom me to the
condition of your trip solenoid after ten minutes of running it would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks Greg!

The trip solenoid should only conduct current for a brief instant to switch
the mechanism from "play" to "transfer" mode. It sounds like the solenoid is
continuously energized, which would potentially result from a shorted 2050
tube or mis-wiring of the trip solenoid circuitry in the selection receiver.
Use a volt meter and check if there is any voltage going to the trip solenoid
while the mechanism is in "play mode"; if so, you've found the culprit.
