I have a couple of the 50.000 issued C&C sets, but my lowest mintage
circulation coin is an 1843 Seated Dollar in EF, mintage 165.000.

What is your lowest mintage US coin?

I think it must be a 1913 Proof Barber Dime with mintage at 622 pieces.

Hmm....If you count patterns, I'd guess the 1882 J1772 3c. If patterns
don't count, It would be my 1845 proof half cent mintage under a
dozen.

Mine is also a Barber Proof -- an 1898 quarter. Second, assuming
it's real, is a damaged 1880 3-dollar gold piece. Third is an
1880 Trade Dollar.

In general I don't collect US coin but have at least one commemorative that
had a mintage of a bit over 6 thousand.

In non-US coins have some fairly rare coins minted in the few thousand.
I do have a token die or two that there were probably no more of than half a
dozen made :-)

Low mintage coins don't do anything for me per se, some of my very favorite
items
are worth maybe $0.50 on a good day. Most of what I like tends to fall in
the $40 range.
