What Do Willow Arune (William Orobko) and Michael Jackson Have in Common?
What garbage. Not true at all.
Now, apparently someone has brought up the Andrea James Survivors Group. Yes indeed. That group was started for a purpose. At the time, Andrea James had used her web site to attack many TS women and others. An individual response to her was not appropriate. I therefore started this group on Yahoo to gather up those who had been attacked by Andrea James to exchange ideas and, as the title page stated, to seek redress. That may have taken many legal forms. I fail to see anything wrong in that. There are groups formed by the survivors of various types of attack. James represented a new breed - one who attacked you personally from behind the screen of an offshore web site. While any individual would be hard pressed to counter those attacks, a group might see some redress through legal means. The group was intended for those attacked in a very negative manner by James on her web site - those from universities, various groups, the Transkids, and certain individuals who had been attacked directly. This would also have removed such discussions from Muliebrity, a group that then had about 200 members. That came to a halt when a non-member, one who had never joined (and would not have been allowed to join) Usher complained to Yahoo, evidently under a misapprehension of what was intended by the new group. Yahoo terminate the group - it seems Yahoo does not investigate this type of matter, for there were many posts written to rethink this decision. At the time, the group had perhaps five members and three posts - none of which were in any way espousing illegal activities. Time passes. Few go to James site any more - at least, not the younger TS women. It is irrelevant to all save a group of diehards here and in a few other locations. It is not practical to sue for libel as the border and other logistics make that difficult, along with (1) the offshore status of James' web pages, and (2) her bankruptcy in the 1990s. Simply put, the cost of legal action is not worth the potential return. Willow P.S. Given the number of threads now posted with insults and mis-information, I wonder if Sandra is still keeping silent. Naw. She never wanted to make this place a good place for TS anyways... He has no evidence that Andrea James declared bankrupty (she did not), and as to the stuff about her web site being offshore....well, a simple whois search shows that to also be a lie. The simple reason he cannot sue for libel is, in a libel case, TRUTH is an absolute defense. He would have to prove, by a preponderence of the evidence, that what is said about him is not true.
